This is going so lovely. OK are you going to leave us happy or find " the leg and booted foot" as an enemy? By chance, is there someone else besides us aboard this wonderous craft? Surprise me again. Please.Blessed BE.

Holly’s holding him tight She is mighty, though slight She just does what is right But he’s “fresh from the fight” If one ventured to ask I would say it was Flask Who is not there to bask But to take him to task There was quite heated glare And across-the-food stare This walk-in on the pair Has bad timing. Beware! =|====/ Level Head Vote for Endtown 2.0 And for Doc Rat, too The Endtown Forum And don’t forget to vote for both For Ursa Major awards!

I was going to say that since they were onboard a ship, they should have the Captain marry them. But perhaps the moment has passed…. Reality is sulking in the foreground.

Jenner – everyone should have someone to love them. Flask included. She needs someone to unlock her inner kitten… she can’t be all bitter & twisted.

TSOJ: I never noticed Holly’s kinky tail, Even when Flask called their relationship kinky, until someone in the comments called attention to her question mark tail. And Wally has developed a little kink of his own.(Grow Some Kink Of Your Own? James Gang{featuring Joe Walsh}? 1960s?)

It existed a year ago, before she took up with Wally, as someone pointed out yesterday over at the Doc Rat section as CrossTimeCafe because Jenner showed Dani as a tribute to ANeathery and Holly. The link to the forum is at the bottom right at www.docrat.com.au/ .

I kind of hope it isn’t Flask. I know it looks like her boots, but Aaron did not show her curvy backside here, and maybe there is more to this relatively short arc. Maybe Flask gets redeemed. Or maybe Monday is “Anything Can Happen Day”. While not a clear suspenseful cliffhanger, it does leave an entire question filled weekend. In a way, ANeathery granted several peoples’ wishes from Thursday.

Aside to Level_Head: Thanks for the well written Leonard Cohen inspired piece yesterday. I spent my entire time yesterday listening to him. I knew who he was since Suzanne, but lately had been a little put off by 8-12 year old children singing a song of his that requires a lot of experiences they cannot have possibly had. Buckley is the only person under 35 who should have been able to sing Hallelujah. And Buckley crammed a lot of experience into 30 years.

I wonder if Flask is the teacher? Maybe somehow she survived long enough to be transformed by the radiation, and her hatred of the topsiders is because her family was wiped out by the soldiers. Still wondering who Petey was before they put him in a can…

That said, Flask’s thirst for revenge against her own former group speaks volumes. You don’t get that sort of hatred without somehow earning it…

Flask is a wonderful piece of work. She adds an essential “wolf in the fold” feel that tells you the dangers in this world are not limited to the surface. Yet, she is capable of being threatened by Mallard, so she is not all powerful (especially now that she is bereft of her zero gun). She could be easy to hate, yet, without her, the story would be much less than it is. Personally I like Flask and though I would not be unhappy to see her less tortured, she adds a spice to the mix that would be missed if she were totally redeemed. Right now though, she is dangerous. This mission was all hers and it was an abject failure. Wally may not have thwarted her plan to destroy the topsiders (since the rocket was a fake) but he opposed her (indirectly by stunning Linda, and directly by shooting the “i phone” out of her hands in the PT). He now poses a real threat to her standing as Head of Endtown Security, because if the truth of her actions gets back to Mallard and the council, her days in that job are most likely numbered. Wally may have made peace with his past, but his struggles in the present are just begining….

I wonder if the ditto replay was for Wally’s and Holly’s benefit only? They aren’t the only ones on the ship, and the others observing it now know Wally a little better. The question is whether they’ll be sympathetic or exploitive.

I think you guys are being waaaayyy too hard on Flask. We really don’t know anything about her background, and if you recall the scene where she dusted the underground monster, she had an expression like it was tearing her apart inside to do it. Granted, it seems now that she’s a power-mad looney with a blood-lust, but what drove her to that? I’d like to know more about her background before passing judgement on her.

I think Flask DOES have a conscience…how could she be so tortured if she didn’t? She’s shown glimpses, but her wounds are deeper than Wally’s and she tries to keep them out of sight.

I don’t think that’s Flask’s boot, this isn’t the ship and she’s not involved (that we know of) with Wally just yet. Maybe the story’s not done being replayed…..the “in the past” Wally’s boot? Not much to go on. Nice piece of emotion to end the week on and not too threatening a cliffhanger. Have a good weekend all.

Panel 4 carries the strong implication that whoever the boot belongs to is watching the exchange between Holly and Wally. IF that is true, then it has to be someone on the ship. The ditto projections of the past have no interactions with the observers in the present. I suppose it’s possible that it could be a 3D construct (like the “Flask” that the TSers encountered in the PT). Either way, if it’s not a real person, I don’t see how it could serve much of a purpose at this point. We’ve seen backstory for the Wally half of the brewing catfight. Maybe it’s time for Chapter 2: The History of Flask.

Oh No! It’s a bad person’s boot. I can tell. Why would a good person’s boot appear?

    there would be no point.

It feels like it might be Flask’s boot but whoever, it’s got to be up to no good!.
