    This is probably as close as Danae is going to get to expressing the sentiments of normal people. There are some of us, however who lament the lame winter this year….Warm winter, cold summer?

    Well, I guess Wiley’s been getting snow all winter in Maine, but we’ve had almost nothing down here in Connecticut.Maybe it’s the yin-yang principle – last year we had 4 feet of it, and this year we have less than 4 inches.I’m just scared; a winter with 50 degree temperatures may well mean another summer with 100+ degree days (as we had a few years ago).So I’ll take the snow, thank you very much.

    If winter didn’t arrive until mid-February (like here), then as far as I’m concerned it can stay a few more weeks. But it should move out by April.

    ++++

    Like it ever listens to me anyway!

    When I lived in Montreal, winter used to like to hang around well into April. That’s the facts, Jack.

    Calendar be hanged, it is spring. The temperature curve has turned the corner. Never mind the fluctuations, the trend is there.

    In this respect, the only difference between a liberal and a conservative is the color of their state on the TV.

    I would personally love some snow. Instead, it nearly hit 80 here this weekend. Curse you, Georgia.

    Replace “liberal” with “bubble living right wing nut” and you’ve hit the nail on the head.

    You’re welcome.

    Actually Spring is transition from Winter to Summer and one should expect a bit of both. In Indiana that can be within 24 hours. …which it has been this weekend. And… I’d rather have Blizzards than Tornados.

    Groundhog day is about folks wanting to see spring after a hard winter. For the last three years, we’ve seen spring weather, IN NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER! The occasional snow “blow through” storm isn’t winter. The change doesn’t bode well, because of things like well, over 100 tornados in March this year, when average for the month is 97. There have also been numerous 4 and 5 strength, when normal is 3’s, 4 being rare, and 5 extremely rare. AGW is REAL folks!

    We had snow last week. Great huge wet giant flakes. Snowed until about 4 pm then turned into pouring rain. .I’m tired of the rain. Coming home, soaked. Rain is nice as a short walk or a long one, but with staying dry. Just tired of being soaked through to the skin.

    To all the right-wing loopjobs out there; Why global warming causes heavier snowfall. When the weather gets warmer, more water evaporates. More water in the atmosphere means heavier snowfall when the weather turns cold. Got it? Good.

    I really don’t think that an obliviousness to facts and reality restricts itself along “party” lines. You can find ’em in ALL schools of thought (Republican, Democrat, Independent, Socialist, Nazi, Communist, and so forth).

    And it also seems that those who are most succeptable are also those most willing to accuse others of displaying their own shortcomings.
