OK, guys, about yesterday. I’ve tracked down the strips referencing Garfield and Jon and Odie. it’s even creepier than I remembered, because it’s quite apparent that Garfield is a ghost.

The strips ran from 23-28 October 1989.

i thought cats enjoying climbing was strip only

until i saw my cat climbing a tree until the first branch ….letting himself go and climb again he repeated that many times and sometimes even fell on his back!

Dogs gotta do what a dogs gotta do – ain’t payback sweet.

…and Garfield has to clean himself with his tongue

Any other cat would be able to jump the 6 inches required to miss the wet spot

I REMEMBER THAT SET OF STRIPS (even though I was born in 87, i must have had a collection), SO CREEPY!

and yet another strip perfect for Garfield minus Garfield is above.

@king shark but i think its cool that the very last panel of the last strip sums everything up nicely and conveys a nice message.
