In our area, there was a man that, when he saw a little girl all dressed up coming into the grocery (general) store would buy her a chocolate ice cream cone.

I can see it now, Calvin so anxious to get her into that mud, he’s forgotten she’s BEHIND him! On the other hand, if memory serves, this is what passes for romance among six your olds. A few insults, some fighting and both getting caked in mud or soaked in a puddle.
