Ernesto exists, at least for today. Viola D’Amore has improbable rival suitors, and Petey is not helping his case by mashing his sandwich…. The angst of third-grade romance!

OOO! A love triangle!

I never was popular in school, but somehow managed to have a boyfriend in kindergarten. He would show up at my house, and we’d play. When I eagerly tried to start a conversation with him at the beginning of first grade, he cut me dead. Early lesson in reality.

Turned out fine – met another late bloomer, been married 51 years.

Getting competitive with his imaginary friend?!
