Is this supposed to be a reference to the snow scene in the final Calvin and Hobbes? I read once that Sunday strips are produced with an even longer lead time than dailies because of printing requirements. Based on this, I’m wondering if Frank didn’t do this Sunday strip before deciding he would continue. Maybe the squirrel knows.
