It’s only January 3rd and Earl’s already confusingNelson.

No kid. The correct answer is “Wow. One day I’m going to be as smart as Grampa.”

I have a friend who over thinks everything. I sent this to him.

Am I the only one who thinks it’s adorable how they sit on the couch together like that? Love it. When I have kids, I’ll have to do that with them. Err . . . given that I can get rid of the severely uncomfortable couch I have now . . .

I took it as don’t make it more complicated than it needs to be, but then again this is Earl.

I remember attending a study group not long ago that was discussing the world situation, and I said that I found it unsettling to say the least. The lady across the table from me replied: “You think too much. I hardly think at all.”Had to bite my lips to keep from guffawing in her face, because, well—it was just so obvious.

It worked in Texas, now we’re stuck with Perry because the Democrats abandoned Jim Hightower when he was Agriculture Commissioner. No ads were ever run for Hightower in that election, and Perry’s defeat of Hightower started Goodhair’s political rise.

Although as Speaker, Sam Rayburn was primarily a consensus builder, as majority whip and leader, he carried most of the New Deal and wrote a lot of it. Populism was invented in Lampasas, organized in Cleburn, and headquartered in Dallas. These feelings still exist just below the surface, it is just that the corporate media won’t let on.
