Anyhow, not really a charming story — but stewardii are prone to flights of fancy.

(Yes, yes, before someone else takes off with it — there used to be a lot of stories about them being supine too…. but that’s not fair. Many were upright, )

Meanwhile, will rOdd be able to teach Dan to draw the famously hapless stoop-shouldered Brevity slump?

That’s why the comic has been looking different. It’s perky.Sigh….

There’s always “love is” for those of us gentle souls who don’t need negative thoughts about a turtle who eats pinkies and then his wife gets a charm to celebrate.

OOOOKay…. What is logical conclusion to turtle biting finger and then “running away?”

Nuts, the gocomics software took my first comment and ran away with it.Note that “pinkie luck” is a phrase that may have some connection here. It’s also seldom used if the low number of hits on Google with the term in quotes and also trying with pinky is any indication.

As a comics expert, let me break down for you why this is funny. it’s multilayered so pay attention

- It’s a satire of a TV commercial where a woman in an airport is showing off her charm bracelet.

-It’s the absurdity of buying a charm bracelet for when a pet runs away

-it’s the mental image of a turtle “running away”

-it’s the absurdity of why they would keep a turtle who bit off his owner’s finger

-It’s the imagery of a turtle biting a man’s finger off

It’s apparently amazing, the number of things I don’t worry about in a comic strip.
