    I think that the pacifiers are great statements about the maturity level of grown men who are paid huge amounts of money to play a game.

    I suspect it refers to the tendency of players paid millions to whine endlesslly over anything that costs them money, like fines, etc.

    Interpretation: why the heck do we regard people as role models who get paid millions to play games, rather than do something worth while? While we’re on the subject, why do the most highly publicized cancer survivors think the most worthwhile thing they can do with their lives is run marathons?
