Dill is remarkably eloquent for a four-year-old preschooler, but sadly misled by his geeky older brothers….

When you’re given the choice of either listening to your brothers stories of cartherders, or being stuffed into the trebuchet, being spoofed doesn’t sound so bad.

A conspiracy of brothers. Now that sounds believable.

And doesn’t he remind you just a bit of Linus telling the school about the Great Pumpkin?

The terrible Sack Baggers. I’ve had a few encounters with them. It was more tragic for the eggs.

SackBaggers bad, CartHerders good. I am glad I am a CartHerder, SackBaggers do all the work. Oh Brave New World that has such people in it.

I’ll go with the spoofing option. My older brother told me that the Easter bunny is always right behind you, and the only way you can see him is if you turn around really, really fast. So, there I was in the front yard, turning at light speed so I could get a glimpse, and my brother was inside rolling on the floor with laughter….

Is that an acceptable use of “spoof” as a verb?

@DocToon-most kids our age learned first “facts” from other kids and @Gilda, “Brave New World” was one of my faves in my teens-read a lot of Huxley back in the 50s. Lately I’ve been reading Garcia Marquez to keep up my Spanish skills.
