Remakes are never as good as the originals. The 1931 version of “The Champ” is the best. By the way, Wallace Beery won an Oscar for his performence in that movie.

Rick Schroder always was able to cry tears on cue. He’s a good actor. Remember that film he made in Australia with William Holden? He cried and really sounded like he was in shock after seeing his parents get killed.
