You cant break an omelet without making a few eggs – or something like that. Problem is when you break too many :) – and as others have said the extremists have caused their fair share of damage to the problem.

Mindlessness on the march. Muslims did not need Bush to kill hundreds of thousands of their own, because they do that job rather well on their own. Note that a vast majority of these Muslims were killed attempting to protect Saddam Hussein, and the rest were terrorist insurgents. As in all wars, there is collateral damage, but Muslims kill far more civilians than we do.

And that enlightenment was mostly by non-Muslim Dhimmis and taking credit for ideas and knowledge that existed long before Muhammad.

Let’s examine Mr. Bors logic, shall we? He’s an apostle for big government rule, is he not? Well, what is most responsible for the most bloodshed for the past 100+ years? Why—it’s been BIG GOVERNMENT! Between the despotic monarchs in the early 20th Century, the international Marxists, and collectivist-minded nationalists, big government is responsible for hundreds of MILLIONS of innocent deaths. And yet, so many want to put their lives solely in the hands of it. It’s like chickens lobbying to put the whole flock in the hands of Colonel Sanders!

Moreover, it was PROGRESSIVES who put us on the path of being the policeman of the world in the first place. It all began with Teddy Roosevelt, and we haven’t wavered from that path since. So, if you want to place blame for any innocent Muslim lives lost, you can blame HIM (the father of progressivism in America).

I doubt you read these comments. I doubt you’d even understand any of them. You’re just another Obamabot drinking the kool aid of socialism.

My sympathy does go out to the victims of 9/11, here at home the under 3,000, in our military- the over 6,000, and the uncounted hundreds of thousands in Afghanistan and Iraq. They were victims of “war” , the “war on terror”, and indeed the “propaganda war” to dominate minds, and avoid reason.

A British reporter asked dozens of Afghans directly impacted by our war about the photo of the twin towers burning. Some thought it was in Kabul (where they’d never been). Most had no idea why American troops were occupying their land, and killing their children. The only person who could identify New York, let alone the twin towers, was the Chief of Police who worked closely with the American troops.

In Germany, and even Viet Nam, the “locals” had some idea of why we were there. In Viet Nam many had the simple view “You leave us alone, we leave you alone.” That was something I heard many times. How does a goat herder, or opium grower who can’t grow “regular crops” any more and turn a profit, define what’s behind an unmanned drone that just killed his children, and family, attending a wedding? All over an “attack” in a foreign land he knew nothing about, and had NOTHING TO DO WITH!

Yes, there are many victims of 9/11 who I hold sympathy for, including those Americans who’ve willingly seen their civil rights destroyed for a decade, and not been informed enough to protest. Are they “cowed”, or is it just the “herd instinct”?

^Perspective. My son is a young man who even with a cane, has trouble waling two blocks. Many of my friends from ‘Nam are multiple amputees- he’d actually be better off with one of the new and greatly improved (thank you VA and military) prostheses, than with his “broken” natural foot. We have thousands of people with TBI because of this “new” war tactic of IEDs.(Not really that new, they go back to the invention of gunpowder, actually, but new explosives are much more powerful.)

How much do we pay for a lifetime of pain for currently young men and women? Who pays the price, daily, for their pain? Is it those who sent them to war, with the “army” (it includes ALL services) we have?

We had a criminal act that turned into a war against TWO countries, whose people had NOTHING to do with the event!!! NOTHING! Gee, a pipeline Karzai would give us. Oil that the “new” Iraqi government would let us have, there was nothing the former head of Haliburton could see as “profitable” in declaring these wars, or the new Secretary of State, who happened to be, through her oil company connections, a close friend of Karzai. Nope, no reason at all to suspect THESE are the people who should fee the pain of our troops, FOREVER!

Forgive my “impatience” with warmongers and profiteers, but I can’t feel my hands today due to nerve damage, and reading cowards and idiots tends to “set off” my PTSD.

^We flattened Afghanistan and Iraq, and “intelligence” and sound action, got the real perpetrator- in PAKISTAN! Next time churchie, how about global thermonuclear war to get the guy who robbed the 7-11 down the block from you. Internal economic collapse shut down the Soviet Union, just as TEApublicans are willing to do to us, here and now.

Having taken down both “bad guys”, and by “error of war” innocent women and children, I guess I have a different view. It is called use intelligence to get the RIGHT TARGET, and take them down – that does not include children in their homes, who fall to “shock and awe”.

^I’ve noted several times here Cheney’s role going back to the Ford administration, along with his mentor- Don Rumsfeld. BTW, Ralph Nader, last time I checked- had never driven a car, or held a drivers license. In many ways that reflects on Ralph and the “ultra-left” every bit as much as Teapublicans and the “ultra-right”- facts are irrelevant, hyperbole, drives their argument.
