Ah, the hubris of making Obama look as a wise and objective observer, as if he and his party have no accountability either for the crisis.

That’s not the point of the cartoon, Beenthere. Watching a bgunch of ignorant morons careen toward disaster (while trying to take everyone else with them in the case of the Tea Party) evokes intensely personal reactions like amazement and disgust. There’s nothing objective about those.

Is it “no accident” that Mr. Boehner and his friends appear to be taking a ride to the casino in Monaco? The harbor is just around that next curve, with their yachts at anchor.

The Tea Party got the attention because they actually put down in a bill what they wanted. Mr. Terrific (Obama) did nothing except bitch- they’re all a bunch of crooks who should be run out of town – Dems, Repubs, the media – you all suck

Obama is a socialist who would be right at home in the most left leaning countries in Europe..The fact that none of his socialist agendas have made it to fruition is because common sense and patriotism have stood firm…

There hasn’t been a socialist in prominence in American politics since Eugene Debs and that was a hundred years ago. Calling each other “socialists” and “nazis” just simplifies a complicated world. It’s for dummies.

Republicans and teabaggers got “their” bill, and the market is in the toilet. Dems should have stood their ground on taking out Bush tax cuts, or vetoed any “deal”— no brains + no balls= deep “stuff”.

Amazing ! It only takes 89 ‘baby-junior Tea-baggers in the House of Representatives( the money-originating constitutionally-mandated House) to gum up the works ! And, more amazingly, the Democratic Party there and the President negotiating with Boehner let them without so much as a fight about raising taxes back to the level they were under the Clinton administration ! No new money-bill or job-creation bill has been introduced in the House since the inception of the 112th Congress. How come ? ? ? The economy has been de-railed. One of the ’drivers’ of the economy is federal spending and Congress and the President are negotiating cutting that one huge driver of the economy ! How dumb ! What do economists say about that ?
