His bill passed the House this afternoon, but is probably dead on arrival in the Senate.

Boehner got just 4 votes more than a bare minimum in the heavily Republican House. And now he’s calling it a great victory for “common sense” and a mandate for the Senate to knuckle under and do the Tea Party’s bidding. Clay is in no danger of losing his title as the “Great Compromiser”.

The TeaPublicans whine that Obama has no plan, but their only plan is to destroy Social Security and Medicare or force the country into bankruptcy.

Just an interesting note: the most vilified politicians in Washington right now are people that campaigned and promised to cut spending and not raise taxes and have stuck by their promises. So like not closing Gitmo is not a broken promise it is just compromise. So like not ending wars and in fact starting more is not a broken campaign promise it is just doing the right thing. I thought we elected politicians to do our bidding but apparently none of you seem to expect your representatives to actually keep a campaign promise. Most curious!

All Obama has is ideology, his way or no way. Not a thing he has to run on for reelection.
