It’s still summer for Calvin and Hobbes, since this week’s reruns are from early August. That’s why it’s so hot for them today, and why Calvin didn’t have to go to school in yesterday’s strip.

I remember Snagglepuss! ! I’m from Kansas and now live on the Texas coast where humidity is high. I prefer it over the Kansas wind…..cool Autumn will not be here for a month.

@ HobbesSnagglepuss and Doggy Daddy are two of the the reasons cartoons suck so badly these days. Law suits were filed against the company (Hanna-Barbera) for unlawful use of product (copying voices of famous people – i.e. Bert Lahr and Jimmy Durante).

Snagglepuss and Doggy Daddy are not the subject here..quit analyzing and trying to change Calvin and Hobbs. You’re just suppose to read and enjoy.

Can anyone tell me what it means to flag a comment? I read the comics on my iPad and I often flag a comment inadvertently when I am scrolling down the page or enlarging the text. I asked Gocomics but got no reply.

I hate being reminded of the fact that summer is over. Never mind the humidity.

If 100% humidity is when the air is saturated with water vapor, then Hobbes is close to a lot higher humidity than that. 5000%?

Why would Hobbes want to get out now? You would think that on a hot and humid summer day, a nice little dip in the local pond would be very cool and refreshing!

@dogsniff- I think it takes (or at least should take) more than one or two flags for deletion. Flagging yourself seems a bit extreme, though it would be unique. Seems to me that’s something that should be done before actually posting, If you have something to say, I want to hear it.That being said and getting back to steering the wagon- a morning spent at the local boat launch ramp can be immensely entertaining.

Keep it clean enough for 6-year olds, and you shouldn’t have to worry about it. You can be punny without being dirty, can’t you?

100% dead on! But remember this little strip is the highlight of some peoples life. No one is allowed to disagree with the self appointed ‘leaders’ here. Flag on!

Another characteristic of antagonists is that they start every argument to get attention, attack everyone who responds by accusing the responder of everything that the responder says about the antagonist, and always have to have the last word. Another ancient formula.

I don’t like humidity either…I have naturally curly hair and if it’s humid…well look out!…
