I think, and I may be wrong about this, that a loud noise startled Big Daddy, and his hat flew up in comic fashion. Polyester is known for its staticky nature, so maybe the static was keeping it from landing back on his head. Maybe he needs to rub it with an anti-static dryer sheet….
