Cooper’s kind of an anti-socialist himself. Bet he doesn’t make friends easily.

Is that a black-eye I spy on the bull? Seems like Wally got a good hit or two in. Why does that third panel make me think he did his best to give the bull a matching set? At least they won’t have to attend another “self-acceptance seminar”.I don’t think Cooper has to feel sorry about the others being kicked out, it seems like it’s best for all of them if they didn’t get in with that crowd.

I don’t think Wally got away unscathed either. Looks like his left eye is a little blackened. Cooper may have not asked for their help; but he should appreciate knowing that he is not the only one who thinks and believes what he does. I think this incident is helping to solidify Holly and Wally’s relationship. They make a great team.

What’s the population of Endtown? I took it to be the size of a small country town of two to five thousand. I know people are all different, but in a small town, there’s a difference between a range of views and a schism. I hope there’s enough space there for Wally and Holly to ‘beg to differ’, without becoming embroiled in Jackrabbit’s crusade. However, in a society where everybody has been traumatised, it can be hard to find a good moderating influence.

Aaron continues to be one of the best on the web. His readers are among the smartest on the web. Thanks for voting at TopWebComics the past few days. You’re making a difference. On Wednesday, the original was at 380 and 2.0 was at 487. This morning, Original is at 329 and 2.0 is at 349. Our votes help more new folks discover both strips. Let’s get them into the 200’s, then we’ll set a new goal.

Now that I’m finally all caught up with the story, I see that I am slowly being killed, at four panels a day.

So the big bovine guard sees the day When the “traitors” of his recent fray Would be subject to “cull” But this big load of bull Doesn’t see what a price he would pay

For the loss of humanity’s form Shouldn’t mean that the new mutant swarm Loses “civil” and “fair” They don’t want to go there Lest “inhuman” becomes the new norm!=|====/ Level Head

It occurs to me Cooper’s not smart To make that conversational start With his possible friends He had best make amends They’re on his side, and they’re of good heart

He was bright enough there in the meeting Shouldn’t wisdom be somewhat less fleeting? For it’s “stout hearts and true” And intelligence too That are needed — that gang needs defeating!

Did feel a little let-down with today’s conclusion of last week’s conflagration. Seems a bit anti-climactic. I was almost expecting the beginning of an apocalypse. Instead, we just see the “trouble makers” thrown out. On reflection, though, that’s probably exactly what would happen. The majority of attendees at Jackboot Rabbit’s rally [no longer just a “seminar”] are nothing but sheep, and not just because of their mutation. These folks were sheep even when they looked like humans [though they were never really fully human, either!] And it wasn’t even a psychological mutation in their case. They’ve ALWAYS been sheep! So there wouldn’t have been too many who would join Wally and Holly in fighting an injustice. Jackboot’s got too much power to waste much time over them. All the purpose they served was to give him extra fuel for the fire he was setting using the willing wood of an audience which is happy just to be told what to do.

I was wondering how Aaron would get them out of Friday’s situation without being attacked by mob mentality or at least a handful of security.

It’s always the problem with free speech. Some people aren’t fit to wield it! See this famous John Adams quotation.

“Life imitates Art Department”Headline of the Seattle Times for August 8, 2011:THE QUEST FOR A BEAN TO FIGHT WORLD HUNGERCould these be the same beans that everybody’s come to know and loathe? Could this be the explanation of why beans are so omnipresent in Endtown? Could Aaron be a Prophet as well as an excellent Artist and Writer?

Actually, I expect that Jackrabbit’s going to cause a situation that will result in Flask’s getting involved. This will ultimately require a trip to the oracle again, resulting in another quest topside. Secrets will be revealed, Petey will be identified, and Flask will undergo a lot of soul-searching. Jackrabbit will be accidentally left behind at one of the outermost ruins.

Wow, it is definetly sounding like the the things now days. The ones who want democracy, with the vote being for everyone against the oligarchy of the top 1% The graph that shows what has happened in the last 8-10 years so that CEO’s pay going from maybe 10 x the employees pay, gone up to 600 X the employee’s pay. people realizing what blatantly is a gathering of all the wealth into the hands of the very richest who are buying our government and making it an oligarchy.
