I said this last year, and I’ll say it again: no you don’t. August is too darn hot and humid.

And so it begins.

Suburbs are the nurseries of humans as the bayous and wetlands are the nurseries of shrimp and fish.

This comic treats August like the high point of summer vacation, when, nowadays, it’s the END of summer vacation.

Nothing wrong with squeezing as much summery goodness out of the season as you can. Especially when it’s winding down.

This comic should be a post card.

I don’t remember it being this hot back in the 50s and 60s. The summer of 1980 was no picnic either.

Before anyone says it, DON’T blame the heat on Global Warming since one of the mountains in my area still has snow on its’ top ridges.

Too HOT! We never had temperatures in the 90s F/30sC before the 1990s. Thankfully passing Tropical Storm Emily just gave us a downpour of cooling rains and some wind, even had tree branches in the street. Heat, hurricanes and the back to school rush. However, we do have birthday cake and ice-cream to look forward to on the 28th (DQ cake, maybe?) -Nassau, Bahamas 91oF/32oC

August is what you make it.

Oddly enough, our summers always had too much heat and humidity, but this year it’s hot but not unbearably humid. What a difference! (Montreal, Quebec, Canada)

Ah… good to see all ten of the main characters…

There having way to much fun. We here in KS too hot for that. Our schools locally start 16/17. Another area locally this Friday.

My birthday is in August.

Here in Atlanta, school starts tomorrow.

We are having the best August! Warm, sunny, ocean breezes. West Coast of BC. Paradise.
