As a Zero Population Growth nut, I wonder where a young couple expect to earn the $225,000 to raise the kid short of college. They want a second? With 6 billion and growing those two kids will be fighting thousands over every dumpster.oh, the government will take care of us.

My wife doesn’t mind the “forth-ing” bit, so long as no children come of it.

This was written when infant mortality was super high. The idea was have like eight or ten kids, perhaps one or two would make it to adulthood.

Two snakes were leaving the ark when Noah said, “The Lord said to go forth and multiply.” At that one snake turned to the other saying, “We can’t go forth and multiply. We are adders!”

I stand corrected, minky. He allowed the inbreeding to “set” the genetics. Only after the big ten was it specifically forbidden.
