Most people who make speeches, politicians or not, will eventually, or even occasionally flub a line, or slip up on a “fact” that crosses their lips they know is wrong, and correct themselves. The difference with Bachmann and Palin is, THEY DON"T KNOW what they said was wrong, or plain stupid.
I can even give Reagan and “W” some slack on some of their “off the cuff” statements or flubs, but not for things they KNEW were wrong, like “WMDs” or “Voodoo economics”— even GHW knew how to brand the latter!
