@dwyant, I’m pretty sure the only intention is the play on verb tenses - appropriate due to the time travel context. If you think about it, time travel by itself goes a long way toward god-like power. The primary power of the Olympians was enacting “fates”.
As to God with Moses (and Jesus with the Pharisees), the meaning is that God is an eternal present - time is something he created for this universe, not something he is subject to or needs to manipulate. .. A far cry from diddling around with time like the Atlantians.
