Count your blessings, Joan. My wife’s a public school teacher – she gets to listen to two HUNDRED screaming kids every day!

I hope he means he will stop off at KFC on the way home not that he’ll buy a chicken from the grocery store that still has to be cooked.

@Macushlalondra, that’s right. Husbands mean well, but sometimes you have to spell out exactly what needs to be done.

He asks because his own initiative has been repeatly criticized and found wanting by the lady he was trying to please.

Be careful about looking gift favors (horses for the original saying) in the mouth….if you criticize spontaneous favors too often, they will stop.

I don’t know about KFC. Walmart has rotisory (sp) chicken and sides. Teachers have to keep school children busy or they get bored easy but then school children also have to stay focused because of overcrowding/budget cuts or get left behind. Since teachers can only do so much.

It’s been established that Wally’s PRETTY on-the-ball, so I don’t imagine he’ll be bringing anything home that requires a lot of prep-time. And KFC is great if you like KFC, but so’s a nice pre-roasted chicken from the deli counter…

    Why didn’t anyone mention Popeye’s or Chick-Fil-A?

Isn’t Wally a pretty good cook anyway?

Although I know when I had a little whiny kid, then I was HAPPY to cook the dinner after husband arrived with groceries. After all, it was SOME change from having to watch the kid (husband did that while I cooked, of course).
