@Night-Gaunt49: That was the subject of one of Isaac Asimov’s science articles back in the 60s. According to his calculations, while most other animals did get about the same number of heartbeats in their life, humans got significantly more than most animals.
I like this strip, except that there is not enough day-to-day continuity. It always seems to me that I have missed something even though I have read it every day.

That’s the same reason I gave up on my journals. It gets even more depressing when you read it and it seems like yesterday, but it was five years ago.
