This is when a bunch of artists switched comics for April Fools day. Brad and Guy Gilchrist did this strip, and they’re the ones that do the comic strip Nancy.
In the reprint book, “Welcome to Jasorassic Park”, this strip is replaced with a large white panel with a couple of small dinosaurs in the middle. The only remnant of the original is a torn part of the lower left corner where you can make out a few letters.
