BREWSTER is one tough little cookie. What good news to greet the new week!!!!! He’s been in my thoughts and prayers ever since I read about him last night. Dry , I’m so relieved that he’ll be OK, and, yes, it’s certainly much more understandable that updates weren’t immediately forthcoming. The mother sure has a lot “on her plate”!
My boy had his chair, and it was the only chair that he wanted to sit in. Try as I might, I could not get him to sit on the couch with me.Same with sleeping in the bed. I guess that the chair fit just right. My girl wanted nothing to do with couch, or chair, or bed. She had her place under the coffee table in the living room, and she was happy there.
Max has officially taken over the entire house and all the furniture. I simply cannot say “no” to him….not when he gives me “those eyes” (you all know “those eyes”…) and is looking just too cute for words. He can wrap anybody around his little paw…and he knows it!! lol
So glad to hear about Brewster, I was appalled. Gretchen went over the rainbow courtesy of a neighbor who didn’t even stop. When confronted he said he hated yappy dogs. His place in Hell is waiting for him
On another note, aforementioned Gretchen had an elaborite dog bed, but she climbed in a wooden box and that was her bed from then on. Mother put a pillow in it and every nite at 9PM she would go to bed, and a blanket would be wrapped over and tucked under the box!
Hay there kids. Good news about Brewster. Hey Dry don’t worry about him not letting you near him. You may be the first person he saw, but you are also the person who helped calm him and cared for him after the accident. He will also remember that.
Thanks everyone for all your kind words. Really, it was my neighbors dog, and we did what we had to do, unlike the RB that hit a little 8 lb dog and drove off. AND BELIEIVE ME, they KNEW they hit. If I could hear a little tiny dog being hit from inside my living room next door? Brewster did not have to go to Pittsburgh after all. A local vet was able to put a pin in his one leg, the worst one, and the other will be done later on. He is due to come home tmr. if all goes well, and then go back later for the rest of the surgery.
Shi! happens and you do what gotta do, even if you don’t expect to be doing it, you know?
I may be back, but if not, Good Night all! Sweet Dreams!

Their lives are so short, let ‘em do what they want and sit wherever they want to sit. My philosophy and I’m sticking to it.

Then, there are those dogs who just go out and buy their own furniture…
…and it ends up being better than yours…
… then , sometimes they just move out and get their own place (when yours just doesn’t meet their standards.)…

I dunno. Dog minus people still looks lonely to me. Just like vice versa.

I’m happy everything’s ok. Life’s rough enough without losing four legged family members.
