Hi Grog. How was your day?

It was very busy today, Shika, once I started getting things from other departments. Tomorrow will be busy from the get go.

Grog, I remember this time of year being very busy at work with inventory. It was brutal.

You’ll be scarce then until the rush is over Grog.

I’ll be away from GoComics for three days. It’s my mom’s 88th birthday.

I had a busy enough day. after my clients I went to see my friend in the hospital. She is in palliative care. Her thinking is starting to go funny. I think it is the morphine, but it could also be metastases.

We had partial monthly inventories, but it was the once a year physical inventory that was so hard to do.

Most of the time, I’m scarce during the day, Shika. I do a very quick tour of my favorite strips at 4AM, commenting as I go. I read the rest usually from my e-mail at work while I’m having breakfast. Even if I did stop by this strip during the day, I couldn’t see most of the pictures, especially nighthawks’ occasional strips.

I don’t think I saw a Thin Man movie. I should look it up. No doubt my mom will have one or two in her collection of movies.

I have 10 Loy/Powell movies, including The Thin Man collection.

I usually don’t see any strips until the evening. By then, most of the best lines are taken in the comments.

And I can’t comment from work. The security is set too high on the computers.

Thanks Grog. I think I will have a good time. I’m going to check out a few more strips and then quickly pack and go to bed. I’m beat.

I used to read all the comments of every strip at one time. Now I only read all the comments from my favorite strips.

What happened to athome? Oh well, I’ll catch up next time.

I asked gocomics why they didn’t have an app for there comics. Just to make it easier to access from a smartphone or iPad.Then you could bypass the job computer.
