    Sometimes it easier to remember dial 911 rather than (626) 744-4241 for the Pasadena Police, (818) 548-4840 for the Glendale Police or (954) 967-4357 for the Hollywood Police or to even know who’s jurisdiction your in.

    It’s just easier to dial 911 when McDonalds messes up your drive thru order.

    Local PD rolls at least one unit on just about any 911 call. You really never know, however silly, what a call is about until you get eyes on it. The good news is that they’re very tolerant of “almost” calls – it’s better to call something than to let an apparent crime continue.

    The elderly, in particular, seem to get confused on this – I don’t think they understand.
