For a project, my 10-year-old daughter had to talk about the best gift she’d ever received. I started mentioning some gifts, and when I mentioned her 8th birthday, she said, “That’s the time Dad ended up in the hospital…and lived! THAT was the best gift I ever got: Dad still living!”
Yes, the FB pages are active. They are basically mirror pages and post mainly old strips and drawings (but that’s no worse than reading the old strips here, I suppose) and also just posted a link to an online store with a boatload of new BC merch, if you’re into that. And as Andrew pointed out, Breathed is still active as an artist and author and the pages list his various personal appearances at Comic Con, etc.

Berkeley Breathed is still active, although the last Opus cartoon was in 2008. He does children’s books these days, apparently.
