Not sure what makes Mason think this is funny. Not as bad taste as the dog strip from a few days back, but there’s nothing witty about it. And since when does B.C. have speedboats?

ninetoes, i did too. i wasn’t going to bother adding my voice to the choir, but have changed my mind. maybe if enough readers object to the decidedly unhumourous strips, Mason will stop doing them and return to classic, BC style, laughs. i, too, believe Hart would never have done strips like this one in BC

Back in the old days, J.Hart did “Dick and Jane” strips with a similarly dark humor. Just not as graphic.

Frontal lobe? Her right one or her left? . No, no. The frontal lobe is in the brain. . Oh! So why didn’t you just say the propeller was removed from her skull? By the way, what’s a propeller?

I’d also like to add my voice to the chorus: not funny, and totally wrong for B.C.

Actually, a very similar comic appeared in the strip several decades ago, the only difference being that the ending was “see doc extract Jane from the back of the boat”
