“We’re definitely not in Kansas anymore. According to the AP, the famous frock that Judy Garland wore in “The Wizard of Oz” just sold for $480,000 at a recent auction."

“The blue gingham dress yielded the highest price of any item during a two-day Hollywood memorabilia auction. There were other Hollywood props for sale, including Julie Andrews’s “Sound of Music” dress, which fetched $38,400, and Marilyn Monroe’s purple skirt from “River of No Return” was sold for $50,000."

Seems to me, the Hostess employees did this to themselves. And now another company is down the drain. I heard on the news that people are flocking to the stores to buy all the Hostess products.

No more Twinkies, No more Chips, No more added pounds on hips!

Wouldn’t it be ironic if they bounced back? Hostess, I mean.

I never even ate Hostess chips. The chips I buy are those of the Frito Lay company which is part of Pepsico. I am shareholder of Pepsico.

Actually, I like potato chips, but I never liked the Hostess brand. Even as a kid, when the bags where aluminum foil and paper, I preferred Lay’s chips. I think my parent always bought Hostess though. I ate them until I tasted Lay’s. Now I try not to have chips around. My only temptation.

Shika, I don’t eat chips often either, but I will take Frito-Lay over Hostess any time. Of course, with Lays, you can’t have just one.

Okay, now I can see it. What a cute picture. I am always amazed at how cats and dogs get along sometimes. It is nice to see.

I make ginger beer myself.

They are the the leader in salty snack foods down here.

Doritos are another weakness of mine. I don’t keep them in the house either.

Shika, I used to like Coke, before they came out with New Coke. I switched to Pepsi and never turned back. When I read that Warren Buffett invested in Coke-a-Cola because he liked Cherry Coke, I invested in Pepsico because I like Pepsi, Fritos and Jalapeno Cheetos.

It was Dick Van Dyke night, but it’s over and I’m just winding down before I turn in after a rough week.

when i want salty, i go with Frito Scoops.i like the way i can over load them.and my soda of choice is diet R.C., or Diet Right if i dont want caffeine. and i also like Dr. P.i will also down a ginger ale or ginger beer.

I also just finished listening to the A Space Oddity album by David Bowie.

mostly i drink coffee, or iced tea.herbal tea.

Grog I will be going to bed soon myself. My week has been rough for a different reason, I’m sure.

I just made some popcorn. All this talk about salty snacks got to me.

happy, I also drink herbal tea. I don’t buy pop at all. Only when I’m out I have it. But homemade ginger beer from the root is nice for me.

I don’t drink coffee or tea at all, I try not to buy anything that would make me want to buy a dip — like Bugles.

Dick van Dyke is a nice way to end the evening Grog. Also music.

Oh, Bugles! I’d forgotten those. Yummy.The only dip I grew up with was sour cream and onion, made from plain sour cream and onion soup mix. I liked it.Now, if I go out, I’ll try whatever is being served, but I don’t buy or make dip.

The good thing is I’ve got all next week off. I wonder if Fellow Baby also has the week off.

Is it because it is Thanksgiving coming up?

Yes though, 3 days is out of my own vacation days.

i make my own “dip”.and its more of a relish, or tapenade.

I have a busy few weeks ahead.Guess I’ll head off to bed now.
