    I have some questions Howdy

What evidence do you have that Dodd and Frank and ONLY Dodd and Frank were to blame for this?

Were they the ones pushing derivatives?

Were they the ones pushing sub-primes?

Were Fannie and Freddy the only mortgage lenders out there? I heard that in fact they’d been losing customers to private lenders ( actually having them stolen ) for some time before the housing meltdown.

And last but no least, how come NO conservative tried to sound the alarm about Dodd and Frank before the housing market collapsed?

Did Rush talk about it? Sean Hannity? How about Ann Coulter?

Did any Repub bring it to the floor of the house?

Why are the conservatives only bringing this up after the fact?

Howie is a science denier and evidence denier. Your questions cannot be answered by him.

Frank and Dodd wrote legislation to provide a life raft to a part of our society in need– Republicans provided for a class of lenders that sold Americans a submarine with a convertible top AND a leaky porthole. Actually, derivatives weren’t even lending documents, but total fraud deregulated into “legitimacy” by a bunch of offspring of unwed pachyderm parents. (but the burros weren’t completely innocent either.)

C’mon, Jmattadams, why don’t you instead try to defend HOWGOZIT’s argument, instead of just making some inane observation? I mean, let’s face it, there’s no way that HOWIE is going to give a detailed response to Simon_Jester…we all have seen he doesn’t have the intellect.

Regarding you far-righties, are you more fragmented than I imagined?

Or do you really want to defend HOWGOZIT here?

I seem to remember conservatives speaking about the dangers of the DEMOCRATIC pressures to “reform” lending to ELIMINATE the old-fashioned credit approvals to ensure fewer foreclosures, and writing articles in such sources as the WSJ and Human Events and National Review and others. Search the archives of conservative publications! (but I doubt you really want the answer)

And the Bush administration tried to get congress to correct the excesses in Fannie and Freddie that were obvious to many Americans….but it was Dodd in the Senate and Frank in the House that blocked any legislative changes, and that could also be found in news reports at the time!

Yeah, c’mon Disgusted, tell us how a single legislator can “block” laws.

It’s a pity that you never back up the obviously made-up posts you make.

I still tell can’t if you’re pitifully ignorant, or that you’re a more highly skilled version of Neocoman.
