This is the first appearance of Belle, the only sister of Snoopy’s who appeared in the strip. Snoopy reunites with bell during a trip to Kansas City. The strip following this mentions that Belle has a son.

Snoopy’s sister, Belle, did not appear a lot in the strip, but she is remembered very fondly by fans because of her appearance in Peanuts-related merchandise.
