You think all those things are written on someone’s face?

I lived four years with a mental patient. See my post on the Britt cartoon to see how those can they be influenced by sensationalist paranoia disguised as journalism.

A Media Guide for the Editorially-challenged Cartoonist

Ramirez: This is a dim-witted cartoonist using a tragedy to promote propaganda for his extreme views.

BCS, I don’t follow you on this one. I don’t see any propaganda of any sort here. The only view I see is neutrality. I saw your posts on other cartoons saying that you received mail from the conservative side??? That would have angered me also, but I don’t see any connection to this ‘toon. RTO - the more I’ve heard, the more he seems like a wacko!

loco, look at some of what Ramirez listed. Is there a serious attempt going on to limit free speech? Is there a serious attempt to take away constitutional rights? And who exactly is indicting Gifford’s record? And calling the sheriff dim-witted politicizes the tragedy every bit as much as he thinks the sheriff politicized it. It’s just a dumb collection of “This isn’ts” IMHO.

No, he’s been accused of being a radical liberal, on account of him liking Marx’s book (ignoring, of course, Ayn Rand). Destroying the state can be supported by both sides.

As for things to label, the cartoon somehow forgot “This is a reason to place legal restrictions on assault weapons.”

Our country has a plague of mass shootings. No other civilized country does. Both parties are too afraid of the charge “soft on guns” to do anything about it.

This cartoon is completely spot on, and BCS, this cartoon is one of the few ones that I’ve seen in the past few days that has even tried to put this terrible event on focus as to what it is REALLY about. Regarding Sheriff Dupnik (his real name), he thrust his politicized punditry into the fray (rather than concerning himself with the truth–which increasingly seems to get in the way with the left’s agenda), so Ramirez’s calling him “dim-witted” is apt.

Bill Maher constantly decries what he sees as the deficiencies of our constitution, especially when it comes to the first and second amendments to it. Who is saying that “the right-wing” are using “violent and hate speech,” and they have to tone it down–all the while, THEY spread libelous, assumptive, and disgusting lies and speculation. The left is telling everyone who opposes them to SHUT THE HELL UP, and if you cannot see it, then you’re wearing blinders.

Regarding the indictment of Giffords’ record, The Daily Kos and other leftist websites have targeted Giffords’ record as not following their political template. It wasn’t just a Palin-thing.

Everything that Ramirez has listed here have been topics of interest by the left-wing media to distract the simple-minded from the facts, and he’s simply trying to get your heads back on a logical mind-set. That he’s failed to do so with so many here only shows that punditry and partisanship are all that matters to you. The truth means nothing.

Sheriff Dupnik has already been entered into the Urban Dictionary:

    dupnik

(n.) a buffoon, simpleton, uninformed individual that runs his/her mouth without rhyme or reason and has no idea of what they are talking about. Usually a self professed expert, short on knowledge, but is full of crap. dude A: That tech at the apple store had no idea of what she was talking about!

    Look it up!

Remarkably similar to Jon Stewart’s opening on Monday. When these two agree, is it a sign of the apocalypse?
