I always put raisins in my coleslaw too, and green apples, it’s great.

Strike One… and then there will come about a good dozen furry grey strikes in a row.

Welcome to Hell with a Garfield tattoo, Poncho.

He is obviously too young to have developed the true dog palate, since dogs eat ANYTHING!

Carrots, apples, raisins, pineapple. Y’all skipped over the cabbage & it sounds better, already. Cabbage is most useful in compost.

@ Sanchia: You’re right, raisins (and, of course grapes) are bad for dogs. I suspect Poncho didn’t exactly know this, so it must have been instinctual on his part.

    Good choice, guys!

I, too, love raisins. But NOT in my cole slaw! Just sayin’!

“Raisins… How I hate the unfoodiness of them!”

    Cul de Sac (again)

Actually, if I can get the raisins and the carrots a la carte, I’ll happily skip the cabbage and whatever else you make cole slaw from.

The “secret ingredient” in my mom’s cole slaw recipe was human blood. She wasn’t real handy with the cabbage grater…

ChukLitl has it right , cabbage is the most feeble excuse for food in this world. All the other additives would be better off served by themselves. Maybe some expensive olive oil and Feta cheese sprinkled liberally on the top.

Find a new picnic chef, better yet a new girl friend. CABBAGE!! Really?
