It’s more like a solar eclipse – you know it’s there, and you know it’s interesting to look at, but it’s dangerous to stare at it.

I kind of like the expression on the blonde’s face; her eyes seem to be saying, “And just what are YOU looking at?”

I’m still inclined to tell them “I know I’m not the target demographic, but…”

It’s tough not to notice beautiful women in bikinis - doesn’t mean he doesn’t love the one he’s with.

But a note about calling him “old.” He can’t be older than his mid-30s. Is that really old?

Scenery of all dimensions should be appreciated. Looking at an attractive lady is no different than looking at a tropical beach, you can appreciate what you see, but prefer what lies behind your doors at home.

That last panel is a masterpiece – and hey, at least John is looking at her face, even with the goofy hubba-hubba grin. :)

We’re one of those “older” couples and neither of us looks like we did, uh ( ) that many years ago. The younger scenery is nice, but we still prefer each others. Right on Nelly!

14 years of compliments to your better half even when she feels she’s not deserving of them makes life so much easier. Plus the women I mention that I like the looks of kind of make her interested too.

Hmm, well “John” did eventually wander off with his dental assistant in the real world

Don’t want it looked at, don’t put so much out there. Save it for the appropriate market.

HTD: seeing how the ‘real’ John behaved later, I’d say so. Shades of things to come…

Old saying: “I may be married, but I’m not dead.”

Also, from Billy Crystal in City slickers: I enjoy looking at the art when I go to a museum, but that doesn’t mean that I want to take any of it home with me.”

Regarding the “John’s a jerk in real life,” comments… That may be, but John and Lynn were married for a long time. It’s always hard to know what really went on inside a real relationship (as opposed to a comic strip relationship where the villain is easy to identify). I never believe just one side of the story.

My husband and I have been married 22 years and I wouldn’t trade him for anybody! He’s still the handsomest man in the world to me! And given the compliments he still gives me after all this time, I’d be willing to bet my life on it that he still feels the same way about me too. Life is good when you’re married to someone who doesn’t have a wandering eye, hands, etc.!!!!!

P.S.: Congrats, Doctor Toon, on your recent marriage! May you both be as forever happy as you are right now! Just keep in mind the old saying about “a happy wife is a happy life” and everything will be just perfect!

    ;-)
