Payne’s political beliefs necessitate his grasping at straws. I assume that he has family and friends who love him, but clearly they don’t love him enough to shake any sense into him. I suspect he deems himself a mediocre talent and has staked his claim to celebrity in an otherwise “no-sane-man’s-land” patch of the media in order to cater to the mentally halt, the mentally lame, & the mentally blind: a sure audience for his quite silly take on things. He’s almost, but not quite, harmless.
I was not aware that the only purpose for batteries was to kill. I was also unaware of the same for cars, hammers, saws, baseball bats, acids, toothpaste, dumbbells, ………
This is the best you could do? A 23 year old boy kills two people, wounds five others, and what do you do? Attack people who want to stop it.
Has anyone said anything about banning batteries? Other than you? No.
I have no doubt that you grieve for the dead. You may even send a few thoughts and prayers.
How about instead of imagining a reaction that will never, ever happen, you try to be creative, tell us how to keep our children from killing each other and other people?
And yes, I fully understand your point, you’re trying to rub gun-banners noses into how ridiculous it is to ban guns. You know what? I agree, it is ridiculous. Not as ridiculous as what you’ve done here, but pretty ridiculous.
I don’t understand who is using batteries to kill children in a classroom? What association is trying to protect killer batteries from any sort of regulation?
There is no need to march against batteries because our representatives aren’t being bribed to reduce battery laws while they are being used to kill kids. Unlike our out-of-control gun issue.

Payne’s stupidity knows no bounds.

Even if those were lithium batteries that Mr. Conditt used, it wasn’t the batteries that exploded.
But by the “logic” of this cartoon, we should talking about banning triggers, not guns.

This is “false equivalency” writ large.

I see your point. You’ve declared yourself an idiot. I agree.

As someone pointed out on another forum, this guy took several weeks to kill three people, and then himself.
The Parkland kid took less than seven minutes to kill 17.

At least the kids have it right as they march on DC and demand gun control.

If you’re trying to demonstrate the absurdity of advocating for limitless gun rights, this works very well, congratulations.

Which is worse … Payne’s lack of common sense or common decency ( or both )?

The cartoonist may have a talent with pen and ink, but not reason.

Using this kind of logic Mr. Payne, shouldn’t we ban “Homeschooling”?

This is far and away the stupidest editorial cartoon I’ve seen in weeks! And the last one was another Payne toon.

This muthaf(word) is losing it big time. Batteries aren’t constitutionally protected nor are purposed to kill things.
