Trump should pass a law saying that MAGA hat wearers should get a 20% discount at auto dealers ( and everywhere else where metal is involved ). Problem solved.

Wilbur Ross calculated the extra added cost of a soup can will be .6 cents. So that comes out to an added cost to a vehicle to be anywhere from 200-500 dollars. Gee, I knew that $1.50 in tax breaks wouldn’t go that far.
Am I the only one willing to pay an extra $200 for a car in order to build up American industry? I’m below poverty level but It’s just one more payment.
Intelligent people have known (for decades) and honest people have admitted (for decades) that free trade (IF truly free!) on balance, is best, despite more than a little local pain and disruption (which is temporary, if we assume intelligent and honest policies…..which might also be a big “IF”!) But trade wars leave all sides bruised and battered.
