The fact that you still live with and in fear of your mother might also be the reason they think you’re a sissy. Then again she makes sure your ride is clean. :)
Hubbs definately needs help. Also Ellie is really blind considering she can´t tell Hubbs is Santa or the guy that her kitteh liked (nothing new in that though).
As Ellie touches Hubbs’ shoulder flowers gather around her pretty head. Hubbs forgets how to breathe. Hubbs has no game at all, which just may work to his advantage…eventually.
There’s a lot to like yet again. The first panel—with Hubbs’ head at the bottom of the narrow space—echoes Ellie’s announcement on Wednesday that “the tips are insane!” Her innocent exuberance (is she at all aware of her incredible hotness?) is brought home with hands and halo. Hubbs’ insecurity is brought home with a grimace and the fear wafting off in waves. Her touch puts an end to his Lothario act. Distracted by Ellie’s assets, my eye still moves to the superb final panel, where Ellie has turned to face us, even Roy speaks. Is she looking at Hubbs? Does recognition of the man who connected with Ow and the Santa with the comfortable lap begin to dawn? It is a great face and a perfect use of space and shading. More of the good stuff from Bea R.
Love the expressive hands. Hubbs plays Alpha with thrusting thumb and clutching hand. With Ellie’s touch he turns into a school boy, his hands gathered around his beverage in a gesture of prayer. Roy’s hand divides the final panel nicely, while lightly directing Ellie’s gaze toward Hubbs. Bravo.

I wonder if Roy is about to spill the beans? In that case this may actually be the moment Hubbs kills Roy, he lacked the proper motivation until now…

It will not be your problem until Hubbs figures out how to tell you how he feels about you. That may not happen.

The solution is simple …
Ellie needs to swaddle herself in something unflattering, to negate ‘Venustraphobia’ from the equation.
… though somehow, I don’t think that remedy would prove particularly popular in these parts. ✨Willywise52 Premium Member about 6 years ago
Hubb’s head reminds me of a Volkswagon with both doors open.

Yeah, nothing blows a good game face like the utterance of meep…

I’m not sure why Hubbs would care what Sam and Roy think.

And Hubbs has magically said exactly the right thing at the right time.
“Meep.”
Ellie is a big fan of Roadrunner cartoons.

“Meep.” Hubbs? What are you, Shemp? Or Beaker?
