The voices in my head told me one thing. The voices in my heart told me another. The voices on the idiot box told me that I didn’t need those other voices. I think it’s got to do with that Miami Vice scene with the boat and the Russ Ballard tune.
At least one’s vote in those programs is counted, isn’t it? The temporary winners win on merit, without outside interference from hackers and tweakers who want a specific result, don’t they? I mean, for all its overblown hype and commercialism, it’s all perfectly honest, isn’t it?
I always vote. I don’t always vote for all the positions. At least at the local level, there are candidates who are worth voting for – also there are other things like taxes and local laws that affect me.

Well, I just couldn’t force myself to vote for institutionalized mordidas, so I didn’t vote.

I’m smart enough to vote, but not dumb enough to be happy about it.
