The FBI should have notified their local Miami field office. But what could that Miami office have done? They could question Cruz and possibly that might have discouraged him. I’m not automatically defending the FBI but I don’t know how much action they could have taken without violating Cruz’s rights.

If Republicans force teachers to carry guns,

force Republicans to pay teachers combat pay.

The local authorities were well aware he was troubled, but when does that become a legal, actionable, offense?

I’ve thought for a while that, if the right wants teachers armed, either the manufacturers or the NRA should donate the arms.

Otherwise, they’re just creating a new market they’ve been craving. Gun sales have been dropping since they can’t use President Obama to scare the rubes.

Since teachers can no longer deduct school supplies they have to provide, they shouldn’t have to pay for the gun and training, too.

We missed all the signs – oh, well let’s do nothing!

Still not enough guns! Looks like Donny will have to arm the students as well as the teachers.
