“Just stick to reporting the facts?” When did that ever sell a paper? Hearst didn’t build his empire on facts. And how often are facts used as clickbait now? People don’t want facts, they want confirmation of their own opinion.

I guess the chicken at the copy desk didn’t object to Penelope Puma becoming editor-in-chief. Or he didn’t object that hard.

Objective factual reporting?? Scandalous!!! Spin it. Twist it. Subvert it. Manipulate it. Then force feed it…….professionally. Dirty Laundry.

The headache is, given the recent canine cleansing operation, those speculations may turn out to be facts. We don’t know that yet, but the possibility exists: Why else frame Foxworthy for Cooper ’s murder?

Is Grout trying to frame Foxworthy? Probably not, yes the perpetrators are trying to create a false trail by setting Foxworthy up as part of the conspiracy. Grout is simply not thinking objectively about the evidence before him.

Or, look for stories that spin themselves. There have to be some great yarns out there, somewhere…

This is an excellent take on modern journalism. Don’t report the facts. Report your view of the facts and don’t let the common man form his own opinion.

Methinks there’s a Deus ex Machina out there still waiting to be discovered.

So we have: Eve, the giraffe-girl spy drinking in all this, planning to report back to whomever. And the Examiner going full tabloid.

Is now a good time to remind them that they live in a “very nice gulag” hidden from the surface? Why would they put you in a gulag located in the gulag you already live in?

I worked in a newspaper for twenty years. Any other time I would agree with Penelope. The man who hired me (May he rest in peace!) would spin in his grave if the newspaper went tabloid. But in this case, the ‘facts’ make Foxworthy look guilty as Hell.

He was spotted by police at the scene of the crime with blood on his hands (literally!). There was a box filled with smoked pork sausages. The head of a recently disappeared pig was located in his fridge.

Good luck finding a jury that won’t convict him after being presented with those ‘facts’!

I think Foxworthy is being framed and it seems likely that evidence was planted. Why would he sit there waiting for Cooper Hooper to show up if he just had killed Cooper? That is nonsense. I hope someone catches on and followed the giraffe, but they have no idea.

I’ve got to say this is striking close to home. Protests for no other reason then to protest, the media telling their version of facts rather then the real facts. It is easy to see where Aaron is getting his ideas from.

Rational thinking and objective reporting have no place in journalism – these days.

Yeah, in our current age of: Facts = Fake News, and Fake News = Facts. Reporting the facts is a very radical idea
