For those that don’t know, this is from Wikipedia:
Scrapple, also known by the Pennsylvania Dutch name Pannhaas or “pan rabbit”, is traditionally a mush of pork scraps and trimmings combined with cornmeal and wheat flour, often buckwheat flour, and spices. The mush is formed into a semi-solid congealed loaf, and slices of the scrapple are then pan-fried before serving.
I see what Rip is referring to there in panel one, but at first I thought “skull tattoo” must be his nickname for getting conked on the head with a blackjack, which can leave a pattern on the skin.
I get annoyed every time he gets ka-konked on the head like this. After all it’s pretty impossibe to sneak up on someone without making the slightest bit of noise, and he should know better by now what to watch out for. But i guess everyone’s got to have an Achilles’ heel… and the plot needs to thicken.
