@Cleo, Here’s my scissors, but don’t run with them, or you’ll be thunderstuck by the pain as you stick yourself in the eyes, and I’ll be dumbfounded and flabbergasted at your foolishness.
I loved the Veteran’s Day picture in the blog. I still have a few old photos of me in uniform stuck away in a box - when I occasionally come across one, I stop for a moment and wonder whatever happened to that poor dumb young kid…where does the time go?

I’ve been bewitched and bewildered, dazed and confused, but being gabberflasted is by far the worst.

Welcome to bewildering, idiomatic, slangy English, Ms. T.
And I guess someone has to say it: I’m gobsmacked!

Pretty sure we could put some thunder in that foundry, even if it takes all night.

Re the blog and “Cowboy songs that children love”, I’m sure the children were thrilled imagining streams of liquor and trees filled with cigarettes.

Rudy T, thanks. I don’t plan to run with them. I thought that I’d give her a shorter haircut, to bring out her finer points.

I believe the drawing of the nun on the blog is from Garth Ennis and Carlos Ezquerra’s Bloody Mary.
