Don’t worry, Hobbes will miss at some point. Right?

Calvin, you ought to make a replica of yourself out of tar. Then step aside and let Hobbes tackle the replica. I’ll bet there is a story in how he gets out of it.

With Calvin’s luck, Moe would be in the same latchkey program!

How come Calvin’s shoe was knocked flying at the door and he lands with it on? This needs to be more realistic

He should be happy someone’s that glad to see him. My dogs try to turn themselves inside out when I come home after being gone 5 minutes…

Calvin is going to need a few minutes for his adrenaline level to get back to normal.

Being a latch key kid wouldn’t help. That would mean both Mom and Dad would both be at work. Who is going to hire Hobbes. Then again Calvin is probably imagining all the trouble he could get into by being home alone.

This is my dog when we come home. Luckily, he’s not as big as Hobbes.

Doesn’t he mean “wouldn’t”? Eh, he could care less.

Isn’t he already “latchkey” as he comes home on his own with no parental supervision. It just so happens that his mom is home typically to keep the door unlocked.
