It’s not a “shut down” and btw, all the people working for you to keep you safe and alive are still going to be working, without pay! Stick that up your tax dodging Trump spot.
By the way, Trump is REALLY PEEVED that the shutdown is…interfering with his plans to go to Mar-A-Lardo for his Anniversary party. THAT’S IT!! That’s ALL he’s concerned about!
What can be expected from a man who has never, in his 70+ years, met a personal consequence that 1. couldn’t be solved with money and 2. that nobody but he can correct?
Donald Trump came to Washington wanting to be an original gangster but, to borrow from Ice-T, is starting to look like an everyday prankster. The shutdown of the government, which is wholly controlled by Republicans, will be registered by both political elites and the public as owned lock, stock and barrel by the GOP. It was Trump’s sudden lurch into creating a nightmare for the Dreamers that helped precipitate this fresh crisis, not to mention turning CHIP into a mere bargaining chip. As the old boy careens from one position to another, government by whimsy, you could even say, is starting to look increasingly flimsy.
Is trump’s ultimate plan to totally disrupt government to allow those who believe themselves to be worthy of ruling, ultimate control. (trump, I deduce from following his actions for over 35 years, never wanted to win the presidency. )
Yeah, that’s today’s, Trumpian, reaction. Instead of sticking our heads in the sand, we just dive completely into an old fashioned fallout bunker. Then wait for the GOP to give us the all clear signal.

Dump had a deal but he blew it. So fitting that the government shut down on the one year anniversary of vile Trump’s election. Thanks Republicans.
As Trump once said, “If the government shuts down, its the president’s fault.”

The only thing the Republicans seem to be able to do right is shut the government down.
