I shot your bagpipes to save your life. I could tell from the sound that it was trying to attack you, and making a horrible noise as it attacked.

A relative just passed on this joke to me…

If you throw a banjo into a dumpster and it lands on a set of bagpipes, what do you call it?

    A perfect pitch.

Personally, I don’t care for street or subway musicians.

Love bagpipes! Went to Edinburgh recently and had the pleasure of hearing them on the street (yeah, tourist area, but who cares?) as well as a New Years Eve bash complete with bagpipers and highland fling dancers! Bring ’em on!

I think an accordion for backup would make it perfect.

When I was in England I went to the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. The hold it every year and have military bands come to perform. It is a fantastic show. You will see many bands that have bagpipes in then. The eeriest part of the show was near the end where you hear lone piper playing ‘Amazing Grace’. It takes a couple of minutes to locate him. He is standing on the rampart of the castle. It will make a chill go through you when you hear it like that.
