The Rump would be happy if the whole landscape was just golf courses.

And the American public in its nostalgia for what the party platforms USED to represent, continue to re-elect politicians who assume one-sided unilateral control in whatever branch of government, in spite of warnings from the founders to avoid this at all costs. It should be obvious when almost 9 out of 10 Americans want congress to work together -- and their approval rating is approaching single digits -- that it is not the American people who are being served by either of our two neoliberal supply-side political parties who ignore the population as a whole to serve their financial sponsors and the geographical regions their bases reside in.

BO…defending your extremism, huh? And without the appropriate apology to Barry Goldwater who seems positively angelic compared to today’s regressives.

After all, fevered extremists are what we have with Alex “conspiracy” Jones, Fox “Unfair and Unbalanced News,” “the full-on steamy mess” that is Breitbart, Richard “very nice person” Spencer, Steve “destroy the administrative state” Bannon, Grover “drown the government” Norquist, Roy “pedaphile” Moore, and the rest of the febrile crew of ignorant misfits.

And let’s not forget the fever-inspired jerk in the White House. Agitated, hot mental illness is the only description that fits the behavior. Febrile ignorance works, too, though.

I agree that only the ignorant extremists defend the madman, his crime family, and his ignorant, fevered minions. But such extremism is a vice. It’s unpatriotic, probably treasonous, certainly unethical and obviously immoral. But since the regressives are ammoral, no problem, right?

“Those concerned about the end of our democracy in the age of Trump must care about the power of giant corporations…But the bigger reason to fight corporate power is political. No matter your political party, those who believe in basic American liberalism — the free exchange of ideas, goods and services within the context of the common good — must gather the political will and clarity to take our democracy back.”

Things will not change until people vote in politicians who actually care about America.

It is very embarrassing to read the UN report on poverty, income inequality, and several other deficiencies in the US because of greed.
