Actually, that boat’s name should be “America’s Economy”. The deformed bill is going to sink it.

When Republicans say “tax cuts” you say “deficits”. Guess what those deficits will cause in the future? Tax increases. We just did this in 2001 and 2003. We had four consecutive balanced budgets going into 2001. Since the Bush tax cuts passed we have run deficits every single year.

Would be nice if We, the people, had some representation in congress, wouldn’t it?

    “ …

But polls indicate that Trump and Republicans have a lot more work to do to sell the tax bill to the public. In the CBS poll conduced last week, 56 percent said Trump’s plan will benefit the rich; 13 percent said it would benefit the middle class. Some question whether there is appetite at all for a tax cut. A Bloomberg poll in July asked Americans which issue was the most important facing the country. Health care was by far the top response; 4 percent said taxes. In the recent CBS poll, 70 percent said Congress should address other issues before passing a tax bill.…”

A big piece of legislation like this takes leadership. With poor pathetic trump, there is only ignorance and mental illness. When there is no vision the people perish. The society reverberates with echoes of the psychopathy tormenting trump. The regressives’ divisiveness is somewhat policy driven, but mostly a simple echo of the misbegotten crazy man’s sickness.

The GOP’s Agenda of Tax Cuts for the Rich is not tax “reform!” [Is this another Varvel ‘distraction?’]

I guess matching tax revenue to the bills that have to be paid is old-fashioned, unpopular, and will never happen again until the economy collapses from over-indebtedness. Think back to when Eisenhower was president and there was a high tax rate, balanced budgets, and the economy flourished.

The Republicans are having the same problem with Tax Reform that they had with Health Care Reform. They don’t actually want to have tax reform, they just want tax cuts to the wealthy. They don’t want to reform heathcare, they just want to do away with it.

If they were honest about what they were doing, they would do a much better job at it, most likely it is not popular, which is why it comes out the way it does.
