Colorado became a state in 1876, the 100th anniversary of the US itself becoming a nation, so it adopted the nickname “Centennial State”. A century after that, the University of Colorado was holding a public contest to pick a name for the school’s mascot, a buffalo. The winning name was Tennial. Yup, that’s right, the bison Tennial.
We call them Bison but what do they call themselves? When the technology improves to actually communicate with higher functioning animals, (Apes, whales, dolphins, elephants), I would ask them to state what they call themselves. It could be very interesting. (Maybe, Bob).
I didn’t know they drank martinis either. How do they accomplish this? Do they get the stem of the martini glass in the split between the cloven hooves and pick it up that way? Is that why they don’t drink old fashioneds?

2 Bison walk into a bar by mistake. They were completely buffaloed.

Actually, they’ll only stampede if they find out there’s a bison-get-one-free sale going on.

Ted Turner is supposed to be the largest single land owner in the US and also the largest owner of buffalo (for his restaurants).

Bison – the animal so impressive they named it twice.

A good statement of how easily we get insulted today. It is a good thing the color of the animal was not stated.
