    Do not get inside the turkey. Do not go wading in the gravy. Do discretely lay your napkin over your little mouse turds, or put them on the small plate provided for that purpose. Do be polite and take some of the horrible Jello salad.

    A time tested Canadian Thanksgiving tradition is to put a straw in the gravy boat. Then you suck up gravy into the straw. Then—and this is the best part—you blow into the straw while holding it over the mound of mashed potatoes. Do Americans do this too?
